Stream 1 Effective interventions
Stream 1 – Fast-tracking knowledge synthesis and translation
Early obesity prevention interventions are complex. Different interventions measure different outcomes and work differently, which made it difficult to understand how and why interventions work or don’t work. Understanding the mechanisms of action in complex interventions will help health planners to adapt and tailor intervention components to their specific population and context.
We established the largest database of early obesity prevention interventions around the world to date. This large global alliance provides a unique opportunity to develop predictive modelling that would simply not be possible in a single study or simple meta-analysis.
Through this global alliance, Stream 1 research will provide guidance on how interventions might be adapted or tailored when translated into routine practice.
