Dr Vicki Brown is a Senior Research Fellow with Deakin Health Economics, within the Institute for Health Transformation at Deakin University, Melbourne,
As a health economist, her research focuses on building the economic evidence for obesity prevention. She has a particular interest in the early childhood years and a better understanding of the cost-effectiveness of obesity prevention interventions delivered at scale. She has experience in applied economic evaluation and was a significant contributor to the Assessing Cost-Effectiveness of Obesity Prevention Policies in Australia (ACE-Obesity Policy) priority-setting exercise. As a post-doc with the original CRE EPOCH, Vicki contributed to building the investment case for early childhood obesity prevention intervention.
Vicki leads Stream 2 of the CRE, with Assoc Prof Alison Hayes and also contribute to the work of the other streams.
