Ioanna has a background in nutrition and recently completed her PhD in Human Nutrition at the University of Otago, where she explored infant feeding in food insecure households in New Zealand. Ioanna’s research has focused on household food insecurity, infant feeding practices, and commercial foods for infants and young children.
Ioanna’s research as part of Stream 3 of the EPOCH-Translate CRE will be using implementation science to examine the scalability of the INFANT and Healthy Beginnings programs in other Australian jurisdictions.
As the Knowledge Translation Coordinator, Ioanna contributes to knowledge translation and dissemination activities of the CRE.
Ioanna is also a member of the EPOCH-Connect Community of Practice organising committee.
