Dr Konsita Kuswara

Postdoctoral Research Fellow, University of Sydney

Konsita is a public health nutrition researcher and dietitian with expertise in early childhood nutrition promotion and knowledge translation, particularly among culturally and linguistically diverse communities. She holds a PhD from Deakin University, where her research explored breastfeeding behaviours among Chinese Australian mothers.

She has contributed to national discussions on early childhood obesity prevention, worked with policymakers, and supported capacity-building initiatives for researchers. Her work has been presented at national and international conferences, published in peer-reviewed journals, and featured in public health media. Konsita also co-chairs the EPOCH-Connect Community of Practice and is an active member of the Collaboration for Enhanced Research Impact (CERI), fostering wider partnerships among prevention researchers and translating research into practice.

At CRE EPOCH-Translate, Konsita is conducting research within Stream 3, focusing on integrating evidence-based childhood obesity prevention strategies into routine primary health care. She also works as a Population Health Promotion Officer at the Western Public Health Unit, focusing on improving food systems and promoting healthier eating.
