Ms Danielle Jawad

PhD Candidate

Danielle Jawad is the Project Coordinator for the MRFF funded Healthy Beginnings web-based platform study. She is currently based at Health Promotion Unit, Sydney Local Health District.

Danielle commenced her PhD at the University of Sydney in July 2021. Her research will focus on considering health literacy and cultural aspects in the development of the mainstream Healthy Beginnings web-based platform.  The research aims to promote healthy infant behaviours and increase engagement among CALD communities. She has experience working in paediatric nutrition with UNICEF on projects that aided in the prevention of poliomyelitis disease outbreak in Lebanon and has been involved in several research studies focusing on early childhood obesity prevention in Australia. She is a Dietitian with a background in public health.

Danielle’s work is part of Stream 4 of the EPOCH-Translate CRE
