Ms Kylie Hunter

Senior Evidence Analyst and PhD Candidate

Kylie Hunter is a Senior Evidence Analyst and PhD candidate within the NextGen Evidence Synthesis Team at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre, The University of Sydney. She is also Associate Convenor of the Cochrane Prospective Meta-Analysis Methods Group. Kylie’s research focuses on collaborative methodologies to improve evidence synthesis, such as individual participant data (IPD) meta-analysis and prospective meta-analysis (PMA). She is on the Steering Group of several large collaborations employing these methods in neonatology and paediatrics.

As part of the initial EPOCH-CRE, Kylie co-authored the main results paper and follow-up results paper for the EPOCH prospective meta-analysis with individual participant data. This world-leading study helped bring the collaboration together and has informed future EPOCH-Translate work, including TOPCHILD (Transforming Obesity Prevention for Children).

As Chief Investigator on an NHMRC Ideas Grant, Kylie is now leading the individual participant data meta-analysis component of the TOPCHILD Collaboration. This project is evaluating the effectiveness of behavioural interventions for the early prevention of obesity in children, and is central to Stream 1 and the main focus of her PhD.
