Dr Kylie Hunter

Research Fellow

Dr Kylie Hunter is a Research Fellow and co-lead of the NextGen Evidence Synthesis Team at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre, University of Sydney. She also serves as Associate Convenor of the Cochrane Prospective Meta-Analysis Methods Group. She is an expert in innovative ‘NextGen’ evidence synthesis methods, including individual participant data and prospective meta-analysis. Her work has driven key methodological advancements, including guidance for searching clinical trials registers, data sharing and assessing research integrity using individual participant data.

Kylie applies these methods to generate high-quality evidence addressing high priority research questions in child health for translation into policy and practice. She is co-deputy chair of the TOPCHILD Collaboration (https://www.topchildcollaboration.org/) and leads the TOPCHILD individual participant data meta-analysis, evaluating the effectiveness of behavioural interventions for the early prevention of obesity in children.

Kylie co-leads Stream 1 of the EPOCH-Translate CRE which focuses on enhancing the effectiveness and translation of early childhood obesity prevention interventions.
